DISTRICT LEVEL CONTROL ROOM RECEIVES 39 CALLS IN TWO DAYS, INFORMATION BEING SHARED WITH STATE GOVERNMENT- DC GHANSHYAM THORI

SAYS, AS PER MEA ADVISORY PEOPLE STUCK IN UKRAINE SHOULD NOT RUSH TO BORDERS OF NEARBY COUNTRIES UNTIL FURTHER COMMUNICATION FROM THE MINISTRY

JALANDHAR, FEBRUARY 26-
Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori today said that the state government has issued a 24X7 helpline number 1100 to assist people having their family member or relatives stuck in war hit Ukraine besides another number +91-172-4111905 for people living abroad so that maximum help could be provided to distressed families.

Divulging the details, the DC said that a district level control room has also been set up here at District Administrative Complex, which has received a total of 39 calls from people, who have shared information about their family members stranded in Ukraine. He further added that the information gathered by the control room was being shared with the state government for further course of action. Notably, the administration has set up a helpline number 0181-2224417 for people of Jalandhar to share the information on their family members in Ukraine.

Mr. Thori further added that the administration was in touch with these people and appealed to them to advise their family members stuck there not to rush to the borders of nearest Ukrainian countries as suggested by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), until further communication is received in this regard. He said that the state government was also in the process of arranging transportation facilities for Punjabis returning from Ukraine so that they can reach their home safely.

ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਘਨਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਥੋਰੀ ਨੇ ਅੱਜ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਸੂਬਾ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਲਈ 24X7 ਹੈਲਪਲਾਈਨ ਨੰਬਰ 1100 ਜਾਰੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਕ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਜਾਂ ਰਿਸ਼ਤੇਦਾਰ ਜੰਗ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਿਤ ਦੇਸ਼ ਯੂਕਰੇਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਫਸੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਹੋਰ ਨੰਬਰ 91-172-4111905 ਜਾਰੀ ਗਿਆ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਪੀੜਤ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਧ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਮਦਦ ਮੁਹੱਈਆ ਕਰਵਾਈ ਜਾ ਸਕੇ।
ਇਸ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕੀ ਕੰਪਲੈਕਸ ਵਿਖੇ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪੱਧਰੀ ਕੰਟਰੋਲ ਰੂਮ ਵੀ ਸਥਾਪਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਜਿਥੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ 39 ਕਾਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਜ਼ਰੀਏ ਯੂਕਰੇਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਫਸੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਕ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਕੰਟਰੋਲ ਰੂਮ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇਕੱਤਰ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਅਗਲੇਰੀ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਲਈ ਸੂਬਾ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।
ਜ਼ਿਕਰਯੋਗ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਜਲੰਧਰ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਯੂਕਰੇਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਫਸੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਕ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਕਰਨ ਖਾਤਰ ਇੱਕ ਹੈਲਪਲਾਈਨ ਨੰਬਰ 0181-2224417 ਸਥਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਘਨਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਥੋਰੀ ਨੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੰਪਰਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਪੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਯੂਕਰੇਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਫਸੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਕ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ ਮੰਤਰਾਲੇ (MEA) ਵੱਲੋਂ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਸੁਝਾਅ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਨਜ਼ਦੀਕੀ ਯੂਕਰੇਨੀਅਨ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਰਹੱਦਾਂ ਵੱਲ ਨਾ ਜਾਣ ਦੀ ਸਲਾਹ ਦੇਣ, ਜਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਸਬੰਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਅੱਗੇ ਸੰਚਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸੂਬਾ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਯੂਕਰੇਨ ਤੋਂ ਪਰਤਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਆਵਾਜਾਈ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਹੂਲਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਿਰਿਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਅਤ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਸਕਣ।
